Session 46 - Attempted Kidnapping

Key Points:

• Aria found herself poisoned by the food and drink she had consumed. When she tried to call her father, she found someone's voice on the other end. However, she dropped the call, and went to warn her friends of the poison.
• Aria was saved from going into shock by Angel and Del's medical aid.

• Setter went to find Jessica, Aria's maid, and located a humanoid outside climbing up the wall. Setter decided to give chase and the rest of the group joined in...
• This sparked a combat conflict between the Runners and the Kidnappers. The Kidnappers seemed to be dressed in gas masks and tactical gear.
• The Kidnappers were nearly successful in escaping with Jessica and Kyou (Aria's hengeyokai master). However, through the party's efforts, the kidnappers were thwarted and two of their SUVs were destroyed. Some of the kidnappers escaped in the remaining SUV, but the party was able to rescue Jessica and Kyou.

• The group suspected that the Cabal, Gwen Morrisson, or the Mixtli Coatal dwarven cartels might be behind the kidnapping attempt.
• The group found out that the kidnappers appeared to be changelings, however, they have been scarred and had all unique markers on them removed (hair, facial scars, fingerprints burned off, castrated, etc). Changelings are a thought to be extinct fey that can shapeshift into other people. Angel and Del were able to determine this.
• Kyou and Jessica were affected by the same poison that Aria had been hit with, however, the poison had already run its course, and would take Kyou and Jessica an extended rest to recover from.

• Setter (funded by Aria) got in touch with one of his underground contacts who provided a safe house nearby: an abandoned greenhouse.
• The group evaded the police by take Nacht's hummer from the mansion and went to the greenhouse.
• Aria tried to recruit Death Otter to help her track the call back to Nacht. Giving the phone for Setter to handle the conversation, Setter arrived at the conclusion (from a voicemail) that Nacht has been captured by the Winged Serpents and is being tortured by their leader. It seems the Winged Serpents have learned of Nacht's betrayal... or something else entirely is going on here.
• Roan seemed to be... different and him and Kembu engaged in a conversation outside.
• The group got the idea to perhaps call Dr. Klein in order to get a device that might help them detect shapeshifters.
• At the greenhouse, the group spoke about what happened, and tried to figure out their next step...
